Clinical Services & Fees

Clinical Services

We provide individual therapy to adolescents and adults. We will work with you to create a treatment plan that is best suited to your needs and is in keeping with evidence-based practices.

We typically meet with clients once per week for 45-minute sessions. Depending on what you are experiencing and your goals for treatment, the length of treatment will vary.

We meet with clients virtually, via the HIPAA-compliant software SimplePractice. Performing therapy virtually (teletherapy) allows increased access, convenience, and flexibility. It is particularly helpful in performing exposures that can only be performed in your home, and for new parents who may need the flexibility to breastfeed their baby during a session. We ask that when you meet for therapy, you are in a private location.

We are able to meet with clients who are physically located in Virginia or any of the 35+ PSYPACT states.

Therapy is time-consuming and expensive. We believe strongly in setting concrete, measurable goals at the outset of treatment in order to track your progress and make sure our treatment is effective for your needs.

Questions to ask your insurance provider before scheduling an appointment:

  • Do I have mental health insurance benefits?
  • What is my out-of-network mental health benefit reimbursement rate?
  • Do I have an out-of-network deductible and has it been met?

Good Faith Estimate: You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who do not have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
  • Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least one business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
  • Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call Virginia Behavioral Health at (703) 457-6545.

Cancellation policy:
If you need to cancel your appointment, please do so at your earliest opportunity. We have a 24 hour cancellation policy. Sessions canceled within 24 hours will be required to pay the full cost of the session. Missed sessions are not reimbursable by insurance.
